Alien: Rogue Incursion is PSVR2's next major game, arriving later this week, 19th December. To give us a meaty look at the game in action, PlayStation Underground is back with 25 minutes of gameplay.
Developed by Survios, a studio that previously brought us Sprint Vector, Creed: Rise to Glory, and many others, this first-person action horror title has you trying to survive in a xenomorph-infested colony.
Taking place between the first two Alien films, this is a single-player experience with immersive features like manually reloading weapons, grabbing items from your person, and so on.
It looks suitably dark and atmospheric, with the aliens themselves blending almost too well into the dark corridors. When things do kick off, though, the combat looks fast and frantic.
We imagine this will be quite an intense experience in PSVR2, especially if the xenomorphs are as intelligent as the developers say, able to coordinate and attack you from optimal positions — which can be from basically any angle.
There's not long to go on this one — are you looking forward to Alien: Rogue Incursion? Grab a shotgun in the comments section below.

Holy moly this sounds terrifying to play... and I so want it.
I hope it's another reason for people to buy in to VR2 - it's the best!
Looks dark! And intense!
Really looking forward to playing this, should be amazing in vr if done right.
A nice Christmas game to scare you senseless.
As a left handed person not having right to left swap availabe will be a deal breaker for me. I was pleased to see they did this for Resi 4.
Well....another hyped up title.....
I'm hoping it delivers and it's not another damp squib 7/10.
Things have been looking up for PSVR2. Behemoth and then this turning out to be a bunch of hot air and access media/fanboy hype would really hurt that upward trajectory.
If Metro and this are both good titles, we could see a renaissance. But an Aliens and Behemoth misfire would do the opposite.
Would be nice to have something other than a linear corridor horror shooter though. Getting tired of horror games.
As a huge Alien saga fan, I'm really hoping this is well received. I might wait for a Steam discount for the PCVR version based on the campaign length however. Metro already went on sale. Looking forward to playing that too.
My one concern is Aliens Rogue Incursion looks a little too arcadey with the beasts getting right up close then acid blood exploding on you but hey no worries, you'll shake both off! This makes it less realistic and scary (for this universe). Looks fun otherwise.
Wow this looks really good like Alien Isolation quality good although with more Aliens vibe.
Sadly i don't have the money for PSVR2, my room is pretty small, and i'm wearing glasses. sigh...
@Kidfunkadelic83 does effect me, but I see no reason this shouldn't be a basic standard across all vr games.
Seems an obvious accessibility issue easily sorted
@ChimpMasta I thought behemoth released last week? I think eurogamer gave it 4/10 or 2 stars
Debating between PC or PS5 Pro on this as my only headset is the psvr2, if they've got eye tracking or cool adaptive rigger stuff I'll probably go with the PS5 version
@PuppetMaster
You know, those things aren’t a big issue 90% of the time. I play every game sat down apart from mini golf. It works perfectly well. You just need to be able to reach below you, so a couch isn’t always the best. A normal wooden chair will do great (in fact, my ceilings are so low I wouldn’t want to play standing in case I need to stretch my arms above me.
I also wear glasses. A £50 pair of clip in prescription lenses solved that issue completely.
While it’s on sale I’d highly recommend it.
@Neither_scene yeah Behemoth released to meh reviews after months of ultra-hype.
Go back a few months and we had Metro Behemoth and Aliens all looking good and on their way.
We see discounts on PSVR2 and interest/sales starting to increase.
If all three of those games had been hits, I think we'd be on a massive resurgence in PSVR 2.
I think we can get with two out of three being great and still see a decent resurgence.
Metro delivered.
Behemoth didn't.
So a lot is riding on Alien.
The question is, have the hype-monkeys been talking twaddle again, or will it be the real deal and everything the highly vocal brigade have said it will be?
I pray the latter.
@PuppetMaster Size of room and glasses isn't a problem with psvr2 but money is needed to buy the bugger
@ChimpMasta what's your problem with behemoth?I thought it was great, not 10/10 but still great whereas metro was great for the first half but the 2nd half fell of a cliff with repetition and more repetition
@Neither_scene and without parole gave it an 8.5 which I totally agree with....try playing it for yourself it's a really good game
Very much hoping they eventually make a non-VR version!
